Der US-amerikanische Komponist Burt Bacharach ist heute im Alter von 94 Jahren gestorben. Er schrieb Dutzende von Hits, unter anderem für Marty Robbins ("The Story of my Life"), Perry Como ("Magic Moments"), Tom Jones ("What's New Pussycat?"), Cilla Black ("Alfie") oder Dionne Warwick ("Do You Know the Way to San Jose"). Er schrieb auch Filmmusik, wie zu "Casino Royale" (1967) und den Song "The Look of Love" von Dusty Springfield hierfür.
